Tech-Park Kaunas at Santaka Valley is a part of space for internationally renowned researchers and entrepreneurs to provide solutions for business using high-tech laboratories, research competences and know-how. There is an Open Access Centre, where R&D services are accessed as „one-stop shop“ system.

Association Santakos slėnis (Santaka Valley) unites and integrates activities of the largest research, technology and study institutions of Kaunas: Kaunas University of Technology, Tech-Park Kaunas, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, the Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kauno klinikos, Lithuanian Energy Institute, Vytautas Magnus University and business companies: Achema Group and Kauno Tiltai at the science and business valley “Santaka”.

Kaunas University of Technology

KTU traditionally engages in research of physical, technological and social sciences, and experimental development, while research of biomedical sciences and humanities is also promoted. All of that fits into 8 research institutes of KTU: Institute of materials science, institute of mechatronics, health telematics science institute, prof. K. Baršauskas ultrasound research institute, institute of architecture and construction, institute of environmental engineering, biomedical engineering institute, food institute.

Vytautas Magnus University

One of the most liberal and modern Universities in Lithuania and the first classical artes liberales university which combines profound traditions of the classical university with innovation, noble ideas and creativity.

The Lithuanian University of Health Sciences

The University conducts research and development at four scientific institutes: Cardiology, Neurosciences Endocrinology and Animal Science. The Center for the Advanced Pharmaceutical and Health Technologies conducts biomedical basic and applied research and experimental development, business orders.

The Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) Kauno klinikos

The largest healthcare institution in Lithuania. The hospital has 39 departments devoted to all medical and surgical specialties, including cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery and organ transplant surgery. In recent years, the annual number of outpatient consultations increased significantly, exceeding 1.3 million visits and 92 thousand hospital admissions. 

Lithuanian Energy Institute

The Institute contributes to the solution of challenges of climate change through research and innovation in clean energy technologies.
